Twila MooreI am excited about being your teacher. You are the reason I am here!
This is my 4th year teaching at Buford Academy. In my years of experience, I have taught Pre-K, kindergarten, third, fourth and fifth grades. I have also coached volleyball, basketball, and children's triathlons. I have a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education. I earned my Masters in Adult Education, and an Educational Specialist degree in Curriculum and Development. I also have my Gifted, ESOL, and Reading endorsements. I have two wonderful children, Matt and Kyla. Matt is married to Katie, and they have two amazingly special people in my life, Desmond, 2 and Teddy, 2 months. Kyla is married to Johnny, and they have Keanau, an awesome step-grandson and Walker, my precious 11 month old grandson. As well as spending time with my wonderful family and friends, I enjoy hiking, biking, and kayaking. My sister and I are currently hiking the Appalachian Trail. We are section hikers and spend parts of our summers hiking the trail. I spend a few weeks out of each year road biking and/or mountain biking various parts of the United States. I also enjoy reading and traveling. |
Shannon WeeksI am honored to be a part of your education!
I am currently in my 9th year of teaching, all of which have been at Buford Academy. I am a 2003 graduate of Winder-Barrow High School. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education from Brenau University in 2007. I obtained a Master of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education in 2010 and an Education Specialist degree in Teacher Leadership in 2012, both from Piedmont College. This summer, I completed my ESOL endorsement. I have been married to my husband, Brad, for five years. We are the proud parents of a beautiful, four-year old, four-legged friend, Lucy. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, shopping, getting pedicures, decorating, and doing community service projects with my church (First Baptist Church Buford) and sorority (Zeta Tau Alpha). |
